On March 25, 2021, under the guidance of State Grid Shanghai Energy Interconnection Research Institute Co., Ltd., a technical seminar on transformer quality improvement and transformer energy efficiency related standards analysis sponsored by EETI was grandly held in Suzhou. More than 250 representatives from well-known enterprises such as State Grid Shanghai Energy Interconnection Research Institute Co., Ltd., China Machinery Industry Federation, China Quality Certification Center, municipal power companies of State Grid, EETI and Jiangsu Huachen Transformer Co., Ltd., Zhengtai Electric Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Huguang Transformer Co., Ltd. attended the conference.

        President HuDelin of EETI attended and delivered a welcome speech. In his speech, President Hu welcomed the attending representatives, and said that after years of development and efforts, EETI has accumulated rich theories and testing methods for the detection technology of high efficiency energy-saving transformer, and is willing to share with others to learn and make progress together.

        Director Han Shaigen of State Grid Shanghai Energy Interconnection Research Institute Co., Ltd. explained the impact of the new standard GB20052-2020 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and the energy efficiency grades for power transformers on the transformer industry and users, and pointed out that as the only mandatory standard in transformer technology, the new energy efficiency standard is of great significance to comprehensively promoting the application of high-efficiency energy-saving transformers in China and keeping in line with international standards. The implementation of this standard puts forward higher requirements for the comprehensive performance of transformers.

        In addition, the conference invited five experts from China Quality Certification Center, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute, China Machinery Industry Federation and EETI to make wonderful topic sharing reports, and discussed the hot issues such as voluntary certification, quality issues and testing technology of transformers. Director Han Shaigen also answered the questions raised by the participants after the report, and was highly praised by the participants.
