On June 23, the 500kV HVDC Circuit Breaker Operation Test Technology Symposium sponsored by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Electrical Products and organized by EETI was grandly held in EETI conference room.

        More than 20 DC technical experts participated in the conference, including the Secretary Chang Hao and Vice - Chief Engineer Shi Yan from Beijing Economic and Technological Research Institute of the State Grid, Dr. Mazhao, expert of the Thousand Talents Program and chief expert of China Electric Power Research Institute, Dr. An Ting, expert of the Thousand Talents Program and chief expert of Global Energy Internet Research Institute, She Zhenqiu, Vice - Chief Engineer of the DC division of the State Grid Operation Branch, Ding Zhengping, chief engineer of Xi'an Fuxin Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. and Hu Delin, president of Suzhou Electrical Apparatus Science Research Institute. 

        HVDC power grid is an important way to solve the large-scale access of renewable energy sources and HVDC circuit breaker is the bottleneck of the DC power grid development. In order to ensure the quality of the ultra- and super-high voltage electric transmission and transformation equipment and the safe and reliable operation of the system, there is a pressing need to build strong HVDC circuit breaker test capability and develop advanced testing technology. 

        On the conference，all participating experts made detailed communication and exchanges on the test methods, testing systems and measurement methods of HVDC circuit breakers and discussed how to ensure the validity of key data measurement. This conference is of great significance for improving the testing methods of HVDC circuit breakers in our institute. The EETI will continue to hold similar technical seminars to ensure the continuous improvement of laboratory testing methods.
